Sjuk.
This is not easy to write.
Angel will probably not be with us much longer, and she is currently at the Animal hospital in Sundsvall. She’s been there since Friday and she will remain until Monday, at the earliest.
In short, all her vitals are upside down. White blood cells are sky high, her reds are bottomed out. This has been the situation for almost three weeks, but as opposed to her usual infections, the antibiotics have had no effect.
Right now there are two possible diagnoses, IHA (The immune system attacking it’s own cells) or lymphoma (cancer which can in turn cause IHA).
If it’s IHA it’s treatable, sometimes, and she may be with us a while longer. If it’s lymphoma that is causing IHA, then we will just have to give her the best possible ending of her days on earth.
I hope that she gets to experience the heated floors of our new house this autumn, we have talked about how much she would love that. We will have to see if that happens.
On Monday the labs will open and they can send some samples to determine if it’s just IHA or if it’s cancer. We have started to condition ourselves to the idea that we may not get to keep our beloved dog much longer.
Not yet.

Jag lider med er och skickar varma kramar till er och den lilla älskansvärda klumsedumsan. Hon har i alla fall fått ett underbart liv och massor av värme trots sämsta möjliga start.
